They solve different problems. Paint protection film is a physical, self-healing layer that absorbs rock chips, road debris and scratches, so it’s the better choice for high-impact areas like the bumper, hood and mirrors. Ceramic coating bonds to the paint to add gloss, UV resistance and a slick, hydrophobic finish that makes washing easier, but it won’t stop a rock chip. Many luxury car owners combine the two: PPF on the front end and ceramic coating over the rest of the vehicle. We’ll recommend what makes sense for how you drive.
